My home's attic was lacking insulation. We had about an R-24. New homes usually get installed at an R-49. So I didn't know if removing all the old insulation and putting in new would be beneficial, or to just leave it there and install new insulation on top.
I ended up getting three quotes and Steve at ABC Insulation was the cheapest by almost 50%. He took the time to explain why leaving the existing insulation in the attic was beneficial and to just install new insulation over top...
